Principal Systems Engineer Architect
About the role
The Principal Engineer Systems Architect will play a crucial role in maintaining the engineering model, developing structure and behavior diagrams, and collaborating with other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to obtain necessary information and data for the model. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing Cameo models and utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
Responsibilities
- Create conceptual data models and data flows
- Design, develop, and document systems that contain logical solutions using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility
- Implement data strategies and develop physical data models
- Coach team members on developing the requirements, architecture, design, and implementation in the model
- Perform Systems Requirements analysis
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or Master’s degree, 8+ or 6+ years of relevant experience respectively
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with RNP and RNAV navigation specifications, Modeling and Simulation experience, experience in the military aerospace development environment, experience integrating complex systems across multiple domains, experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers, experience with Cameo Magic Draw or another MBSE tool, experience with various DODAF view artifacts
Qualifications
- Firm understanding of traditional systems engineering concepts and methodologies
- Experience working within an agile environment and in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top-Secret clearance (Interim required to start)
Skills
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Systems engineering tools (i.e. Cameo Suite)
- Experience with Agile framework

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $98,400.00 - $147,600.00, with the actual offer contingent upon the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
