This role is based at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, and supports the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program—a vital operational system enabling U.S. leadership to plan, monitor, and control ballistic missile defense operations.

The C2BMC program integrates and synchronizes autonomous sensor and weapon systems globally and regionally, serving as a force multiplier for layered missile defense capabilities. This position will serve as the first line of defense for user-level interactions, troubleshooting issues in person, via secure phone, email, or instant message. Responsibilities include supporting MDA flight tests, integrating R&D systems into C2BMC, and contributing to ongoing X-Lab projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create domain accounts with limited security group addition privileges
  • Perform user password resets
  • Troubleshoot user VDI and thin client issues
  • Install and troubleshoot Windows and Linux applications for users
  • Work with the Active Directory team and compliance/patching admins to update processes and procedures
  • Provide customer-facing IT support with refined customer service skills
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with remote users daily
  • Write and edit technical documentation for processes and procedures using tools like Atlassian Confluence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, with 5 years of experience; OR a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of experience; OR 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Current, active Government-Issued 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND) at the time of application, maintained throughout the contract period
  • Current, active in-scope Secret security clearance at the time of application
  • Red Hat 7/8/9 administrative experience in an enterprise environment
  • Windows 10/11 administrative experience in an enterprise environment
  • 3+ years of experience supporting users in an enterprise-level system (ideal candidate)
  • Comfortable interfacing professionally with users and customers in an IT service setting

Pay

Primary salary range: $94,200.00 – $141,200.00. The final offer considers scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives for eligible positions.
