Principal System Architect | Cloud and Delivery

About the role

Epicor is seeking a Principal System Design Architect to lead the development of innovative system solutions that meet complex business needs. The ideal candidate will translate customer requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient system designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design sessions with internal and external stakeholders to capture and analyze customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Management to assess solution feasibility and provide accurate estimations.
• Recommend improvements to development methodologies and lead process optimization initiatives.
• Mentor Architects and Developers to elevate technical capabilities across the team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure alignment with system design standards and product requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate relevant innovations into Epicor’s products and processes.
• Represent Epicor as a technical evangelist in internal and external forums.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in cloud architecture with Azure.
• Strong expertise in automation tooling such as Terraform.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and complex problem-solving skills.
• Able to lead multiple projects and mentor others effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cloud Architecture using AWS is nice to have.
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines using Azure DevOps is nice to have.
• Deep understanding of government compliance frameworks and secure cloud deployments.
