Principal Structural Engineer

About the role

The Ash Group is hiring a Principal Structural Engineer for a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 12‑month contract position working in Boulder, CO (Hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis on spacecraft, instruments, payloads, optics, mechanisms, and ground support equipment.
• Use closed‑form and finite element analysis techniques in stress analysis and structural dynamics.
• Develop loads and environments for structure and components.
• Support structural and environmental testing for static, modal, acoustic, shock, and vibration.
• Write detailed reports for test and analysis activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 6 or more years of related Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with NASTRAN.
• Experience with FEMAP and/or SIMCenter.
• Aerospace background preferred.

Pay

Up to $78 per hour W2 based on skill set.
