Principal, Strategic Planning & Integration
About the role
Core Engineering & Platforms (CEP) provides foundational capabilities, applying a disciplined Engineering-first mindset and advancing scalable, reusable platforms across the ecosystem. This role ensures critical priorities do not operate in silos, acting as the connective tissue that brings cohesion across CEP by connecting work, signals, and outcomes across a wide set of product domains without introducing additional friction. It streamlines how CEP engages customers across products and services while cultivating strategic vendor partnerships that span multiple technology domains. The role also elevates how CEP communicates its strategy and impact—curating clear, enterprise-relevant narratives for topics such as OKR progress, Operational Risk and Return Committee, technology execution review, and board-level discussions that reflect plan of intent, progress to outcomes, and value delivered.
Responsibilities
- Lead coordinated planning and execution at scale: Lead Planning & Integration across CEP in environments with a high number of distributed product teams, partnering with digital products teams to ensure backlogs are sequenced when needed and consumable across domains (e.g., infrastructure as code transformation or large-scale efforts like large vendor exit requiring coordinated movement across infrastructure, platforms, and product teams), accelerating delivery on critical outcomes.
- Strengthen product partnership and customer signal curation: Partner with Digital Product Managers to support how the voice of the customer is captured, shaped, and reflected in CEP priorities—particularly in the absence of a business architect construct—and streamline engagement to reduce repeated asks and fragmented input across initiatives.
- Elevate workforce planning and future readiness: Align workforce planning and capability development by aligning future skill needs and organizational capacity to expected demand, reducing reactive hiring and improving long-term scalability, including influencer stewardship and specialized onboarding bootcamps/spark zones for infrastructure.
- Align strategic vendor engagement to enterprise priorities: Support engagement and alignment with key strategic external partners against enterprise priorities, ensuring clarity of expectations and value delivery.
- Shape a clear, consistent strategic narrative: Curate clear, consistent storytelling of CEP strategy, progress, and impact across OKR tracking, ORCC, and board-level materials—ensuring alignment between what is happening and how it is communicated externally.
