Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Project Management professional to join our diverse and talented engineering organization in support of realizing our vision of making World Class Program Managers. As a project management professional in our Program Manager Learning and Development organization, you will be responsible for the planning, management, and creation of training projects and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate in-house Program Management training programs in support of all sector Program/Project manager employees and associated functions.
• Obtain information from subject matter experts to prepare in-house training programs; prepare training materials; develop course content; determine methodology; and coordinate the development of training aids.
• Facilitate training sessions when required.
• Develop and implement programs for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
• Continuously revise lesson plans to meet updated or emerging training requirements and keep training material up to date.
• Oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects, review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare training status reports.

Requirements

Principal Project Management

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience includes project/program management, learning and development course delivery, curriculum development, and in-person curriculum instruction.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience with budgeting processes and monthly tracking and reporting procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Senior Principal Project Management

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience includes project/program management, learning and development course delivery, curriculum development, and in-person curriculum instruction.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience with budgeting processes and monthly tracking and reporting procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in project management, training, education, professional development, and/or adult learning (preferred).
• Familiarity and experience with the Instructional Systems Design (ISD)/Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE) process or equivalent.
• Experience in training and curriculum development.
• Experience with planning, developing, coordinating, and executing education, training, and/or career development programs.
• Experience facilitating/conducting training/education sessions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities and summarizing data.
• Demonstrated experience applying Program Management processes (e.g., Program Planning, Requirements Management, Supplier Management, Risk & Opportunity Management, Cost & Schedule Management, Change Management, Performance Management, and Program Closeout) and incorporating them into training content and exercises.
• Current PMP certification (preferred).
• Control Account Manager (CAM) experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in tracking/reporting tools/dashboards such as JIRA and TABLEAU (preferred).
• Experience selecting appropriate instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstration-performance, problem-based learning, student-centered learning, and guided discussion.
• Experience supporting, building, and promoting a positive and collaborative culture across cross-functional teams.
• Experience applying Lean-Agile practices on a project team.
• Active Secret/Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Clearance (preferred).

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 – $141,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 – $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
