Principal/ Sr Principal Project Management

Relocation assistance may be available. This position requires an active U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and may require program access. About the role

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Global Supply Chain Principal Project Management Specialist or Sr. Principal Project Management Specialist to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. This is a 100% onsite position on a 9/80 work schedule. The Project Manager will support the sustainment or training business area as a focal point for the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization, overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between project management, planning, project team, and line management.
• Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Ensure consistency in GSC processes and draft work instructions and workflows where applicable.
• Act as a GSC focal point with various program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Sub IPTs.
• Analyze data and information to build and present program-level leadership briefings focused on status and critical milestones.
• Assist with different GSC sustainment initiatives.
• Integrate with various GSC functional organizations.

Qualifications

Principal Project Management Specialist (Level 3)

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree in one or more of the following: project/program management, procurement, subcontracts, supplier management, logistics, or sustainment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using SAP, ERP, or other related business software applications.

Sr. Principal Project Management Specialist (Level 4)

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree in one or more of the following: project/program management, procurement, subcontracts, supplier management, logistics, or sustainment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using SAP, ERP, or other related business software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• CAM (Cost Account Manager) experience.
• Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
• Sustainment experience, particularly supporting spares and repairs.
• Experience in design and development.
• Proposal experience, including reviewing and estimating impacts.
• Previous experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.
• Special Program Access.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 – $122,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 – $152,200.00

The salary range represents a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
