Responsibilities
- Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and implement process improvements as well as support site initiatives.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel in the highly automated production of composite aerospace components.
- Author, modify, and audit shop floor electronic work instructions (EWIs).
- Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to permanently eliminate defects.
- Troubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implementing improvements and solutions.
Qualifications
- Principal Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3): Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 4 years or experience in engineering fields; Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautics OR Masters with 3 years of experience in mentioned fields; OR PhD in STEM field with 0 years of experience.
- Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer (Level 4): Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 8 years or experience in engineering fields; Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautics OR Masters with 6 years of experience in mentioned fields; OR PhD in STEM field with 4 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Active U.S. Government Clearance prior to starting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Active Special Program Access (PAR) prior to starting.
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with composite manufacturing.
- Active U.S. Government clearance.
- Special Program Access.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience working with/programming Fanuc or similar robots.
- Experience using CAD software.
- Experience using Solumina G8 or similar.
- Demonstrated understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques.
- Experience using RCCA tools such as Five Why, Pareto, fishbone, etc.
- Experience drafting, maintaining, and modifying work instructions and/or process specification.
Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
