About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Procurement Specialist to support Government Interiors Seating direct product component and sub-assembly sourcing in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the commodity manager(s) to set overall strategy and execute that strategy for the component/sub-assembly commodities.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and work through RFPs with supplier partners.
  • Manage and prioritize several projects at one time and clearly communicate project status to leadership.
  • Negotiate through execution supplier contracts and agreements in support of awarded business.
  • Analyze data and information to determine reasonable prices with commodity manager assistance.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Supply Chain or Business Degree preferred.
  • Experience with wide range of commodities, manufacturing technologies and components from machined, mechanical fabrications, welding, soft goods, leather, fabric, cushions, foam, plastics, composites, engineered items such as restraints.
  • Government purchasing and/or sourcing experience based on varying government requirements and regulations.
  • Strong awareness and familiarity of Government Supply Chain practices and Government Commodity Management sourcing practices.
  • Strong experience with Excel including macros, pivot tables etc. and some Access database and analytics methods experience preferred.
  • Supply Chain professional certification(s) such as CPIM, CSCP, CPSM.
  • Experience with SAP as primary ERP/MRP system.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Kinaxis, Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
