About the role

As a Material Program Manager (MPM), you will bridge the Supply Chain and Program teams, managing materials provided by suppliers on the Naval Radars Supply Chain Team. You will execute product line strategies to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets, ensuring on-time delivery to customers. The role involves collaborating with a diverse supplier network, including small and large businesses, IOT partners, and major subcontractors producing high-level assemblies and complex materials.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with program and partnering functions to ensure successful supplier management and execution in support of program needs and requirements.
  • Partner with procurement to ensure suppliers meet program requirements, including contractual, drawing, technical data packages, and schedule requirements.
  • Assist procurement with supplier Request for Proposals/Quotes (RFPs/RFQs).
  • Provide status updates by preparing and presenting materials for team meetings, program reviews, and customer reviews.
  • Maintain and assess the integrity of the MRP environment and program schedules, balancing supply and demand for an executable schedule.
  • Own the supplier and finance management process, including Risk/Opportunity, Line of Balance, Metrics, and Material sales forecasts.
  • Proactively address and complete urgent supply chain tasks, such as Purchase Requisitions integrity, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), and Purchase Order follow-up.
  • Communicate program status, issues, and resolution plans across stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and suppliers.
  • Travel domestically to suppliers as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply chain role and/or program/project management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with suppliers.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required; an active and existing DoD Secret clearance is required after day one.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Subcontracts, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing.
  • Supply chain experience in the defense industry.
  • Experience with Supply Chain Planning tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Kinaxis RapidResponse).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Schedule

This is an onsite role. Employees in onsite roles work primarily at the designated location. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select interview steps in-person at one of our office locations.
