Principal Solutions Engineer - Data & AI Governance (West)

The Role

We're seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer - Data & AI Governance to advise enterprise customers on governance strategies and implement scalable solutions that balance innovation and regulation.

About the role

This role bridges Sales Engineering, AI governance, privacy, and security, focusing on architecture, integration, and technical demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture discussions and technical deep dives
• Design end-to-end governance solutions
• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept (POCs)
• Translate regulatory frameworks into practical technical workflows

Requirements

• 6–12+ years in Solutions Engineering, Technical Sales, or Technical Consulting roles
• Strong background in GRC, privacy, security, or compliance
• Experience advising enterprise customers on governance strategy and operating models
• Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud-native systems, and distributed environments
• Deep understanding of data governance and/or AI governance concepts

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data classification and metadata management, policy enforcement and risk-based governance, AI lifecycle governance and safeguards
• Domain Expertise: Systems thinking, ability to understand how technology, governance, and business intersect, commercially aware, ties technical solutions to business outcomes and deal success, strong storytelling skills, simplifies complex concepts for diverse audiences, comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
