Principal Solutions Engineer

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver complex, enterprise-scale solutions for lending and credit card platforms
• Translate business needs into technical designs ensuring performance, security, reliability, and scalability
• Identify opportunities to simplify systems and enhance platform architecture
• Lead the design of cloud-ready financial solutions with modern application architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful execution across systems
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot APIs and integrations vital for lending experiences
• Analyze production challenges to improve operational stability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of IT experience with expertise in application design required
• Experience in financial products such as credit cards, mortgages, and loans required
• Demonstrated experience in consumer financial products with expertise in UX, integration, and API layer required
• Proficiency with public cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings required

Pay

$189,000 – $230,700 annually
