Principal Solutions Architect

About the role

The Principal Solutions Architect will serve as the technical cornerstone and customer-facing lead for TekSynap's capture and solutioning efforts supporting the Department of State.

Responsibilities

• Capture & Business Development
  • Lead technical capture and solution development activities from identification through proposal submission
  • Engage with Department of State stakeholders to understand mission requirements and shape acquisitions
  • Build, manage, and leverage teaming partnerships with subcontractors, OEMs, and technology vendors
  • Represent TekSynap at industry events and customer meetings
  • Support oral presentations and technical exchange meetings
• Solution Architecture & Technical Solutioning
  • Architect technically credible, operationally realistic solutions for various areas including network design, remote access, and SD-WAN
  • Design enterprise end user and mobile computing support solutions aligned with ITIL
  • Create technical documentation and presentation materials for proposals and customer engagements
  • Incorporate Zero Trust architecture principles and network segmentation requirements into designs
  • Develop technical volumes and oral presentation materials that are compelling, discriminating, and evaluator-ready
  • Analyze RFP requirements and develop responsive, compliant, and winning technical approaches
• Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in federal IT, including network and telecommunications services modernization
  • Direct involvement in capture and proposal development, including authoring winning technical volumes for complex government IT contracts
  • Experience supporting Department of State missions and global IT infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise network architectures and relevant technologies
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation, and DoD/DoS security policies
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, persuasive technical proposal content

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Experience supporting DOS contracts or familiarity with overseas post IT environment
• ITIL v4 certification or equivalent
• Experience with IDIQ vehicles and task order competition environments
• Professional network within the Department of State IRM/DT community
