Responsibilities
- Own technical design for large-scale, complex problems across the Variant Knowledge Platform
- Define and evolve data models for variant identity, ensuring high correctness standards
- Design production-grade REST API contracts with secure identity integration
- Lead system evolution for real-time bioinformatic data processing
- Drive architecture for data storage and retrieval, accommodating growth
- Define org-wide system architectures and communicate effectively with teams
- Mentor engineers and foster collaboration across technical teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of REST API and contract design experience, including versioning
- 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud service design and operation
- 5+ years of experience in a backend programming language, preferably Python
- Strong data modeling skills for critical systems
