As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform development tasks associated with designing, debugging, and enhancing software applications or operating systems according to provided specifications. You will build enhancements within an existing architecture and occasionally suggest improvements.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical collaboration between teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Architect and execute highly visible, mission-critical projects using technical expertise.
- Serve as both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, capable of diving deep into any part of the stack or designing broad distributed system interactions.
- Develop, debug, and design software applications or operating systems based on provided specifications.
- Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements.
- Perform moderately complex problem-solving with guidance on company policies and processes.
- Exhibit behaviors consistent with company values.
Requirements
- Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design.
- 7+ years of software development or programming experience with at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, Go).
- Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership.
- Experience building highly available and scalable distributed services.
- Experience with microservice design patterns.
- BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.

Pay
Hiring range: $94,200 – $223,500 per year (US). May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Schedule
- Full-time (35+ hours per week) for vacation accrual eligibility.
- Part-time (20–34 hours per week) eligible for prorated vacation.
Relocation available for Seattle, Bay Area, and Austin.
