About the role
Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacture of infrared and visible focal-plane arrays and camera products. The Focal Plane Operations team is seeking a Semiconductor Product Engineer to develop advanced Sensor Chip Assemblies (SCAs) using single and dual-color HgCdTe/HCT, III/V (InSb, InGaAs, SLS, nBn), or advanced micro-bolometer (uncooled) detector technologies. This role involves detector design, process development, manufacture, and test of SCAs at the RVS Goleta wafer/SCA fabrication facility.
Responsibilities
- Develop small teams and collaborate with Integrated Product Team Leads/Program Managers to define engineering requirements, manage risks/opportunities, and meet schedules and budgets.
- Work under limited supervision, taking responsibility for technical, financial, and schedule targets of projects.
- Prepare technical justification analysis reports and present to Engineering and Program Review Boards.
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Semiconductor Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering product management, and/or Wafer Processing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HgCdTe, III/V semiconductor, or micro-bolometer (uncooled) detector physics and wafer processing in a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to analyze data related to semiconductor device performance.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Understanding of process yields and analysis.
- Experience with bids, proposals, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Familiarity with device design and modeling tools such as MATLAB.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $118,300 – $224,900 USD. The range reflects all experience levels and considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
