Principal Scientist, Medical Physicist

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Scientist, Medical Physicist to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will focus on internal dosimetry analysis, translational imaging science, and modeling approaches that support radiopharmaceutical development in oncology. You will partner closely with radiation biophysics and medical physics colleagues to improve how imaging data informs dose projection and decision-making. The position also offers the opportunity to shape data quality standards, support cross-functional teams, and help apply AI to strengthen scientific effectiveness. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $134,505 – $162,988 annually Responsibilities Collaborate with radiation biophysics and medical physics teams on internal dosimetry analysis of radiopharmaceutical agents Design experiments and analyze dosimetric data from imaging studies such as PET and SPECT Standardize image data quality control practices for preclinical research Perform translational analysis for animal-to-human dose projection Investigate new technologies and modeling approaches for radiopharmaceutical development Provide technical support and training to cross-functional teams Implement AI to enhance team effectiveness and decision-making Qualifications Advanced degree in Medical Physics or Engineering; PhD preferred 6+ years of experience in molecular imaging and RPT dose modeling research, or 3 years with extensive RPT publications (10+) Expertise with radiopharmaceuticals in oncology; experience with alpha-emitters is highly desired Proficiency in dosimetry software and statistical modeling tools such as Python and MATLAB Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Benefits Comprehensive health insurance plans including medical, dental, and vision Flexible Time Off (FTO) policy without set accrual limits, plus 11 paid holidays Paid vacation, including additional time-off benefits such as sick leave and volunteer days Annual global shutdown between Christmas and New Year's Day Retirement and financial protection benefits Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
