About the role
As the Principal Sales Representative, you will carry out all sales and marketing activities in a specified geographical territory to maintain, develop, and grow the overall sales volume while maximizing profitability.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize sales activities and customer/prospect contact to achieve agreed business goals.
- Plan and develop dealer/distributor network in the specified territory according to the agreed market development strategy.
- Motivate dealers and distributors to promote a portfolio of products and services.
- Educate growers, dealers, and distributors on new products.
- Conduct direct farm visits to growers to promote and sell a portfolio of products.
- Conduct direct visits to dealers and distributors to assist in selling a portfolio of products.
- Sell and service equipment related to the application of fertilizer products.
- Sell storage tanks related to the storage of fertilizer products.
- Deliver fertilizer, parts & equipment, and storage tanks to dealers and farmers.
- Conduct grower meetings to promote the use of products.
- Attend farm shows to promote the use of products and services.
- Locate and develop test plot locations as they relate to the research & development program.
- Manage and collect accounts receivable to keep receivables current.
Requirements
- Proven experience in agricultural sales, preferably with fertilizer or crop protection products.
- Strong knowledge of local crops and market practices.
- Familiarity with fertilizer storage, application equipment, and product logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Pay
The base compensation for this position ranges from $91,200 to $127,750, varying based on location, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
