About the role

The Principal Consultant will be a senior figure within the team, working autonomously with clients, managing and developing strong relationships, and creating new business opportunities. While the Principal Consultant will have no direct line management responsibility, they will act as a role model to other consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment assignments that require creative applications of knowledge to specific recruitment challenges
  • Generate new business by networking, gathering market information, and making business development calls
  • Organize and attend meetings with prospective clients
  • Develop existing relationships and entertain clients within and outside core business hours
  • Manage and develop own client list
  • Send CVs to clients, either for existing roles or on a speculative basis
  • Develop and manage the client portfolio
  • Ensure the Robert Walters database accurately reflects all business dealings with clients and candidates
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant markets
  • Represent RW at meetings with new clients to win new business and manage complex deals
  • Uphold and demonstrate Robert Walters corporate values and sell unique, value-add services
  • Regularly sell print and digital advertising for roles in relevant trade press
  • Identify opportunities to develop the wider business
  • Understand Robert Walters terms of business and negotiate fees to secure and retain business
  • Handle accounts and take responsibility for key relationships
  • Manage client relationships and expectations, including problem resolution
  • Attain comprehensive knowledge of each client's organization, culture, and resourcing requirements
  • Maintain and exceed SLAs with clients
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term recruitment campaigns
  • Ensure regular contact with clients to build positive, productive, and long-term relationships
  • Manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including writing and placing job advertisements
  • Ensure only high-quality candidates are put forward to clients for interview
  • Provide market updates to clients and colleagues
  • Source, select, and match candidates with appropriate positions
  • Organize and coordinate interviews with candidates and fully brief them regarding roles
  • Ensure regular contact with candidates by providing feedback and communication
  • Follow up on referrals and leads
  • Write regular advertising and marketing material such as mail-shot literature
  • Ensure the Profile system accurately reflects all business dealings with clients and candidates
  • Ensure candidates are coded correctly and files hold all required statutory information

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience preferred
  • Management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
  • Ability to align day-to-day plans with long-term business goals
  • Commitment to self-development, drive to make things happen, and a target-driven approach

Pay

$80,000 base salary plus quarterly bonuses, dependent on experience.
