Principal Pump Mechanic & Crew Lead, Rotating Machinery

About the role

The Principal Pump Mechanic & Crew Lead, Rotating Machinery is responsible for overseeing and maintaining rotating machinery at Hydro's US facilities. This position requires a deep understanding of pump mechanics and a proven track record in leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of pumps and related equipment
• Lead and train a team of mechanics in best practices and safety protocols
• Perform complex mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on rotating machinery
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Collaborate with engineers and other departments to resolve technical issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in pump mechanics and/or rotating machinery maintenance
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to pump mechanics
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
