Responsibilities
- Develop and progress Ready for Operations (RFO) activities to ensure seamless transition of the facility from EPC to operations phase.
- Ensure in-depth understanding of rotating equipment such as turbines (gas & steam), motors, generators, compressors, and pumps.
- Be familiar with associated supporting components/systems like couplings, bearings, lubrication, and sealing systems (dry gas seals and mechanical seals).
- Provide intermediate-level reliability engineering support to the operations team, focusing on root cause failure analysis (RCFA), reliability centered maintenance (RCM), and providing guidance to less experienced staff.
- Provide daily-to-day Rotating Equipment and Mechanical systems support to the Maintenance & Operations teams to ensure continued operability of plant equipment.
- Offer advanced diagnostic support to allow rapid production recovery in case of equipment failure and forced plant outages.
- Lead RCFA exercises, including summarizing findings and presenting to concerned parties.
- Interpret and evaluate analysis and recommendations from reliability technicians on predictive programs.
- Support turnaround planning and execution for the Maintenance team.
- Track availability and improve overall reliability for plant equipment.
- Evaluate workflow processes, identify critical spares, and manage spare parts storage and preservation for Rotating Equipment systems throughout the plant.
- Lead initiatives to drive fine-tuning and improvements in existing Maintenance practices to achieve a cost-effective strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline, with a Mechanical Engineering focus preferred.
- A Professional Engineering License is preferred.
- At least fifteen (15) years of experience working in an engineering capacity, specifically in Rotating and Mechanical equipment in an industrial setting, with oil and gas experience preferred, particularly in LNG applications.
- Extensive knowledge of gas turbines (Frames & Aero-derivatives) and compressors (including compressor performance).
- Knowledge of CMMS Systems and RCFA tools for conducting failure analysis.
