What You Can Expect

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a highly motivated Principal Project Manager - Procurement to join the Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) team. This role is suited to a candidate who combines strong procurement knowledge with deep project management expertise and a proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives.

Reporting to the CPO, the role will drive strategic and operational projects across Procurement Analytics, Compliance, and Systems, with responsibility for SAP Ariba optimization, deployment of global procurement best practices, organizational change management, and delivery of measurable value and savings.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Project Leadership
    • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of initiatives within the Procurement CoE.
    • Ensure alignment of project objectives with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Savings & Best Practice Enablement
    • Drive projects that deliver cost savings through improved SAP Ariba workflows and global implementation of standardized procurement best practices.
    • Partner with regional and global teams to ensure consistent adoptions and scalability of solutions.
  • Analytics & Systems Optimization
    • Lead initiatives related to the enablement and continuous improvement of SAP Ariba Direct and Indirect modules.
    • Cookordinate enhancements to internally developed analytics and collaboration tools supporting Procurement and cross-functional teams.
    • Drive opportunities for automation and digital transformation within procurement systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement/Change Management
    • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT, and other functions to ensure successful deployment and adoption of tools and processes.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Lead the Organizational change management and training activities related to the project.
    • Partner with Procurement leadership - drive OCM initiatives to increase stakeholder engagement with other functions enabling saving execution and savings pipeline fulfilment.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of project/program management experience in a global organization.
  • Strong procurement domain knowledge required, including procurement processes, compliance, policy, stakeholder engagement, and value/savings delivery.
  • Experience leading procurement transformation, systems implementation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ARIBA modules and procurement processes.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Operations, and IT.

Travel Expectations

Must possess the ability to travel on a regular basis with overnight stays up to 20%. Occasional global travel may be required.

Expected Compensation Range

$113,407 - $142,000
