Principal Project Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development and management of cost control systems for accurate financial reporting.
• Perform project planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting for various contract types.
• Facilitate Work Breakdown Structure development with cross-department collaboration.
• Conduct data analysis and create presentations for cost status.
• Forecast variances and manage change orders, providing financial analyses.
• Develop revenue recognition models and related financial analyses.
• Work with Project Leads to maintain project budgets and identify risks.
• Manage subcontract and purchase order processes and generate ad hoc reports.
• Oversee 1-2 team members and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• 3–5 years of experience specific to government contract financial management.
• Familiarity with key contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M).
• US citizenship required.
• Strong analytical skills with budget collaboration experience.
• General understanding of indirect rate structures and government contracting procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos Reporting preferred.
