About the role

AWS Industries (AWSI) PXT is seeking a customer- and employee-obsessed Principal Program Manager to drive results and long-term strategy by providing centralized PM support to AWSI PXT teams. This role is both strategic and hands-on, critical in developing project initiatives and driving PXT functional excellence and process improvement. The Program Manager will lead and support implementations of key PXT programs around employee engagement, business expansion, PXT Workforce Strategies, reporting/analytics, and ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities include creating efficiencies to reduce duplication of effort, automating data and insights for scale, and solving significant business and employee experience challenges.

This role offers exceptional leadership visibility and the opportunity to influence global strategy and execution, partnering with HR leadership to develop short- and long-term strategic plans.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key AWSI PXT operations including goal setting, intake, project identification, project sizing, quarterly planning, project mechanisms/execution, change management, and reporting.
  • Identify and lead global/regional projects.
  • Collaborate with the central AWS PXT PM office to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and timely updates of AWSI PXT operations.
  • Serve as an advisor and additional resource for AWSI PXT projects in collaboration with AWSI HRBPs and PXT Partner teams (TA, Compensation, ER, Workforce Planning, etc.).
  • Lead critical PXT cadences, including OP1/OP2 HC planning, strategic planning sessions, cyclical reporting (monthly and quarterly business reviews), goal planning and reporting, and other recurring meetings such as staff meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience, or 5+ years of program or project management experience plus HR experience.

  • Ability to earn trust and maintain key relationships with PXT partners to avoid duplication of efforts and drive global engagement.

  • Global mindset to inspire and champion global AWSI business strategies and practices, accounting for local laws, culture, language, and labor models.
  • Experience as a PXT Business Partner or in a PXT functional area.
  • Experience leveraging AI in day-to-day work, with a role model approach to AI adoption and building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in talent management, organizational network analysis, and organizational design and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project delivery.
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity and exercise independent judgment on sensitive/confidential matters.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a bias toward operational automation.

Pay

Base salary range: $149,800.00 - $202,600.00 USD annually (USA, WA, Seattle).
