About the role

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Program Industrial Engineer to support program development and production phases primarily within the Surveillance portfolio of factories in McKinney, TX. This role focuses on maximizing throughput, improving efficiency, and delivering increasing value to the customer through industrial engineering methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Create factory models using process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, material movement, information exchange, and key metrics.
• Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to calculate capacity, eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and integration of new capabilities.
• Support program contract proposals, business case development for future investments, supplier assessments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
• Partner with project managers and factory support functions to improve the factory footprint and layout of factory equipment as needed.
• Provide industrial engineering support directly to programs across Raytheon factories and key suppliers, with occasional travel not exceeding 30% of a standard work schedule.

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience (or applicable MS degree with 6 years of experience).
• Industrial Engineering degree.
• U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and ATF clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience and/or education in factory layout and work cell design/optimization.
• Experience and/or education in simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods.
• Experience and/or education in project management.
• Experience and/or education in CAD software.
• Six Sigma certifications.
• Ability to lead teams and influence without authority.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
