About the Role

Function as a Production Electrical Team Lead on a Production Program, leading a team of 10–15 engineers while supporting cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization. Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and training, and coordinate priorities with the Electrical Team Lead. Engage in design reviews, schedule risk management, red-rack burn-down, supplier coordination, documentation, compliance, testing, validation, peer reviews, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve production, testing, and integration issues.

Travel: less than 25% annually. Shift: 1st shift, onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide technical support to a team of 10–15 engineers, emphasizing task execution, technical rigor, mentorship, and training.
  • Coordinate cross-functional prioritization with the Electrical Team Lead.
  • Support design reviews, schedule risk assessment, red-rack burn-down, supplier coordination, documentation, compliance, testing, validation, and peer reviews.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve production, testing, and integration issues.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in RF, analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design or analysis, digital signal processing, debugging, or failure investigations.
  • Production engineering experience involving design, analysis, fabrication, or troubleshooting of missile hardware, including systematic problem-solving, failure investigations, or Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills for creating and presenting technical content to cross-functional peers, leaders, suppliers, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Production process knowledge of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker Sensor, or electronic subsystems, including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test, and supplier support.
  • Systems thinking and strong problem-solving skills aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Technical support experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes, and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, post-test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentations, and implementing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Experience with FPGA integration and implementation.
  • Familiarity with software/firmware languages such as Python, C, Basis, Java, VHDL, or Verilog.
  • Leadership experience with technical teams, including technical oversight, cost estimation, tracking and reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical reports, and proposal support.
  • Certification for Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation and Earned Value Management (EVM).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The range reflects all experience levels, and RTX considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending an offer.

Schedule

1st shift, onsite. 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
