Principal Product Manager - Technical, External Services, Amazon Aurora

Responsibilities

In this position, you will play a pivotal role defining product requirements and tirelessly champion the needs of our customers. You’ll work with our customers, partners, software vendors, and operational stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features, and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through expertly crafted business requirements documents.

• Create the product strategy for the new service that appeals to unique needs and requirements of Enterprise customers
• Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution
• Launch the vision, product strategy and road map for our products and work with key stakeholders in the company to deliver on that vision, e.g. sales, partner team, international site leaders, etc.
• Define product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific market segments, target customers, and product
• Drive sales by enabling business development and sales teams, leading calls with key customers, creating tools to support the success, helping to identify opportunities to increase that success
• Establish goals and review metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success
• Research and identify new opportunities for AWS to innovate on behalf of our customers

Requirements

Key job responsibilities:

• Driving sales by enabling business development and sales teams, leading calls with key customers, creating tools to support the success, helping to identify opportunities to increase that success
• Establishing goals and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success
• Researching and identifying new opportunities for AWS to innovate on behalf of our customers

Qualifications

• 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
• 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
• Bachelor's degree, or BS degree
• Prior expertise with building and shipping database services
• 3+ years of relevant professional or military work experience which occurred after completing your undergraduate program and prior to starting your MBA or master's program
• Experience working with external enterprises
