Principal Product Manager (Tech), Kindle Software

About the role

The Kindle Software team is seeking a Principal Product Manager-Technical to lead the development of innovative AI experiences for Kindle devices and apps. This role involves shaping the future of reading by defining foundational building blocks for cross-cutting experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product strategy and roadmaps for core experiences on Kindle, collaborating with engineering, design, and machine learning teams to deliver delightful user experiences
• Define key user journeys and use cases leveraging generative AI to enhance reading comprehension, discovery, and engagement
• Drive product requirements through a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and technological capabilities
• Act as a key influencer in developing and auditing business strategy, contributing significantly to the overall Kindle strategy and customer engagement and analytics
• Work with teams across Amazon and Books, and cross-functionally with engineering, design, and research to deliver an inspiring product roadmap that balances short-term wins with long-term bets based on the vision
• Position is global and will work with teams in other countries

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience in technical product management
• Potential for direct collaboration with engineers on product enhancements
• Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
