Description
Amazon's endpoint ecosystem spans 1.5 million compute devices across laptops, tablets, virtual desktops (WorkSpaces), and mobile devices, serving a global workforce. As the endpoint evolves into an AI context surface, the portfolio will expand to include new form factors such as wearables and purpose-built AI peripherals. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager, Technical to define and own the product strategy for Endpoint Experience (EPX) across five coordinated layers: hardware, system software, applications, peripherals, and network.
Key job responsibilities
- The holistic endpoint experience product vision across all five layers (hardware, system software, applications, peripherals, and network) for a fleet of 1.5 million devices spanning multiple form factors
- The persona-based framework that matches workload to form factor, including the total cost of ownership model that ensures every CapEx dollar is tied to a measurable productivity outcome and balances hardware investment, software optimization, and operational efficiency across the fleet
- The security-experience balance: defining how endpoint security (enforced agents, compliance posture, data protection) is delivered without degrading employee productivity, and how new AI-capable form factors maintain Amazon's security bar
- The AI strategy for endpoint evolution: how devices transform from productivity tools to intelligent context capture platforms, what new form factors, sensors, and on-device processing capabilities are needed to capture conversational and visual context that traditional endpoints miss, and how this makes AI agents fundamentally more effective
- OEM partnership strategy at Amazon's scale, influencing product roadmaps so future device generations are designed with Amazon's workforce needs built in
- The unified business case that connects hardware telemetry, software performance, security agent impact, support contact patterns, employee satisfaction, and AI workload forecasts into a single decision framework
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of product management experience in endpoint computing, digital employee experience, or enterprise IT product strategy
- Track record of transforming endpoint strategy at enterprise scale, moving beyond uniform device standards to workload-driven, multi-form-factor portfolios
- Track record of influencing cross-organizational roadmaps without direct authority
- Experience with OEM partnerships and hardware lifecycle management at enterprise scale
- Strong financial acumen: TCO modeling, CapEx optimization, and building investment cases tied to business outcomes
- Understanding of how AI/ML workloads are reshaping client compute requirements and endpoint form factors
- Experience balancing security requirements with employee experience at enterprise scale
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry expertise in endpoint experience trends: AI on the edge, device form factor evolution, context capture (conversational, visual), multi-modal input/output, zero-touch provisioning, and unified endpoint management
- Experience defining persona-based device strategies in large enterprise environments, including lifecycle management from provisioning through sustainable refresh and return
- Background in endpoint security architecture: security agent performance optimization, zero-trust endpoint posture, and compliance without experience degradation
- Experience influencing OEM/vendor product roadmaps at enterprise scale, shaping hardware and firmware generations to meet organizational needs
- Familiarity with endpoint telemetry, observability platforms, and data-driven fleet health management
- Experience building investment cases that connect technical decisions to business outcomes (productivity, support cost reduction, employee satisfaction) for VP/Director-level audiences
