  • Define the vision for traditional reports and AI-driven answers, ensuring alignment with Gusto's broader AI transformation.
  • Ship customer-facing improvements regularly, focusing on both immediate fixes and long-term enhancements.
  • Work closely with app teams like Pay and Benefits to ensure seamless integration and delivery of reporting capabilities.
  • Bring rigor and clear prioritization to data migration efforts, translating back-end progress into customer-facing capabilities.

  • Real AI fluency: Using AI tools in daily work, understanding AI-native reporting, and having experience with AI-powered product features.
  • Bias toward shipping: Setting clear milestones, moving fast on near-term customer improvements, and sequencing work to deliver meaningful customer value.
  • Technical fluency in data: Comfortable discussing data infrastructure, pipelines, data models, APIs, and trade-offs between migration approaches.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Treating partner product teams as customers and giving them a clear path forward.
  • Clear, direct communication: Telling a compelling story about complex systems, giving honest progress updates, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Strategic clarity: Holding the near-term and long-term at the same time, building a multi-year vision, and sequencing work to deliver meaningful customer value.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on product management experience, with at least some of that time spent on data products, analytics tools, reporting platforms, or infrastructure products.
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping customer-facing improvements at pace, with a focus on things customers notice and use.
  • Experience with AI-powered product features or data experiences, including building, scoping, evaluating, or working closely on them.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering, design, and data partners.
