THE OPPORTUNITY Title: Principal Product Manager - Media & Archival Solutions Location : USA (remote) Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a vision-driven Principal Product Manager - Media & Archival Solutions to join our Digital Business Unit team. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to define the future of our specialized Rich Media Hub and intelligent content capabilities within the AI-powered Insight Digital Experience Platform (DXP). By turning passive, multi-modal archives into strategic, queryable digital assets, your expertise will help our clients unlock hidden value from complex imagery, audio, and video pipelines. What You’ll Do In this role, you will: Strategic Vision & Roadmap : Define and champion the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmapfor Media & Archival domain, aligning with Iron Mountain's overall business objectives andmarket opportunities.Media & Archival Expertise: Direct the strategic vision and commercial execution for solutions that unlock the value of preserved media, turning them into governed, reusable, searchable and monetizable digital assets.Market & Customer Insights: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analyses, andcustomer discovery to define problems and identify unmet needs, emerging trends, andopportunities for innovation.Product Definition & Requirements : Translate market insights and customer needs into detailedproduct requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate closely withengineering, design, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycles.Go-to-Market Strategy : Partner with marketing, sales, and operations teams to develop andexecute successful go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, pricing,and launch plans.Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress tointernal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and partners.Build strong relationships and foster alignment across a global organization.Performance Monitoring & Iteration: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on the product based ondata and feedback.Partner Strategy: Evaluate and define strategies for partnerships to enhance value and increasespeed to market.Navigate Ambiguity: Embrace a growth mindset and hands on mentality to approach complexchallenges in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment. What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have: 10+ years of progressive product management experience, including ownership of enterprise B2B software, SaaS or platform-based solutions from strategy through launch and scale.Demonstrated success translating customer and market insight into a focused product strategy, roadmap, requirements and measurable commercial outcomes.Experience working across product, engineering, design, marketing, sales, solutions, delivery and operations in a complex global organization.Strong analytical and commercial judgment, including business cases, prioritization, pricing and packaging, product metrics and investment trade-offs.Excellent written, verbal and executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity, influence without authority and build alignment.Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience; a master's degree is welcome but not required. Media-domain Experience Experience with media and entertainment technology, sports content, corporate archives, cultural heritage, digital preservation, media operations or adjacent domains.Working knowledge of digital asset management or media asset management, audiovisual preservation, rich-media formats and workflows, metadata and taxonomy, and archive discovery.Familiarity with multimodal AI, semantic search, transcription and enrichment, rights and permissions, provenance, licensing, secure sharing, and content monetization.Experience evaluating ecosystem partners and integrating third-party platforms, specialist services or AI capabilities into a coherent customer solution.
