Accountabilities
The Principal Product Manager will own the vision, strategy, and execution of a communications platform designed to support customer interactions across multiple channels. The role requires strong product leadership, technical collaboration, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around scalable solutions.
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for a shared communications platform, balancing short-term business needs with long-term platform goals.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to build platform capabilities including messaging APIs, delivery infrastructure, governance controls, and communication data models.
- Create scalable product foundations that allow teams to deliver customer experiences more efficiently while reducing duplicated efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering, compliance, risk, growth, servicing, banking, and other business teams to prioritize platform investments and influence technical direction.
- Develop capabilities that strengthen regulatory compliance, auditability, monitoring, and operational visibility across customer communications.
- Establish success metrics, analyze platform performance, and leverage customer insights and data to improve adoption and business outcomes.
- Evaluate external technologies, tools, and strategic partnerships that can extend platform capabilities and support future product evolution.
- Communicate product strategy effectively with technical and executive stakeholders while driving alignment across multiple teams.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a strong background in building software platforms, infrastructure products, or complex technical solutions. You should be comfortable working with engineering teams, managing cross-functional initiatives, and translating technical concepts into business impact.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of building and scaling software products.
- Experience leading platform, infrastructure, developer platform, or similar technical product initiatives.
- Strong experience partnering with engineering teams on APIs, distributed systems, platform capabilities, or technical architecture.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional product programs from strategy through successful delivery.
- Experience building or scaling communications, messaging, customer engagement, or interaction platforms is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with regulated industries such as financial services, fintech, marketplaces, or similar environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of compliance considerations, governance frameworks, and operational requirements for customer-facing platforms.
- Ability to define long-term product strategies while managing changing priorities and business constraints.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and technical teams.
