About the Role
Kiva is seeking a strategic and collaborative Principal Product Manager to help achieve its growth goals. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will identify and evaluate new product opportunities across B2C and B2B audiences—starting with the high‑net‑worth individual segment—decide what gets built, define success metrics, and stay accountable for results. You will work closely with engineers, designers, marketing, and strategic partnerships, shaping vision, prototyping, defining requirements, evaluating trade‑offs, and measuring outcomes. Applicants must have authorization to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision for your product area, breaking it into an action plan that prioritizes impact, results, and speed of learning.
- Emphasize problem discovery and prioritization—identify the most important problems before diving into solutions.
- Leverage internal and market signals to identify longer‑term bets or new product ideas likely to succeed.
- Use frameworks and structured thinking to make decisions amid incomplete information or ambiguity.
- Lead outcome definition for products and projects, establishing KPIs and success metrics.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand customers.
- Build relationships inside and outside the product team to anticipate stakeholder needs and align leadership and cross‑functional partners around the product vision.
- Partner with engineering to build and execute solutions at quality commensurate with risk, and help shape go‑to‑market strategies for major releases.
- Communicate roadmap, vision, results, and trade‑offs across the organization.
- Learn and fail fast—know when to iterate, scale, or stop, and help others adopt the same mindset.
- Communicate ideas and prototype with AI to validate concepts or run experiments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8–10 years of product management experience, ideally in B2C or marketplace environments, managing a significant product area.
- Track record of shipping successful products.
- User‑centered mindset with empathy for users and strong instincts for good UX.
- Strong business acumen and a habit of using data to support decisions.
- Self‑starter and leader who anticipates second‑ and third‑order effects, reframes ambiguous problems, and aligns stakeholders around the right problem.
- Nice to have: experience in nonprofit, impact‑focused, or philanthropy sectors.
Benefits
- Work‑from‑home position (U.S.‑based candidates only).
- Opportunity to improve real lives, solve hard problems, and change the world.
- Friendly, supportive, and adventurous environment with engaged colleagues.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, parental leave, professional development, 401(k) matching, and unlimited PTO (subject to eligibility requirements).

- Diverse and inclusive workplace that welcomes people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives.
- Equal‑opportunity employer.
