About the role
As a Principal Pricing Strategy Analyst at Medtronic, you will play a critical role in developing and executing pricing strategies that support our innovative medical products and put patients first. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, review competitive pricing, and recommend strategies that ensure compliance and maximize value across all customer and market segments. You will lead key pricing initiatives alongside your business partners while leveraging expertise to directly influence contract negotiations, product launches, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Advise on pricing strategies for current and future products across all relevant customer and market segments.
- Develop and communicate the impacts of proposed and/or implemented pricing strategies and governance.
- Create price recommendations to ensure compliance with established policies.
- Review competitive activity to determine pricing for new products.
- Provide input on final pricing contracts and agreements.
- Foster strong business partnerships with cross-functional internal stakeholders, including facilitation of various pricing analyses and metrics.
- Manage large projects or processes, functioning as a pricing subject matter expert between the enterprise and the operating unit.
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues within the job area.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, please ensure the following information is evident on your resume:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with 8+ years of relevant experience in Pricing or Contracts, or equivalent experience
- OR Associate’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- OR Baccalaureate Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
Skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience developing pricing strategies in medical device, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and pricing impact assessment methods
- Ability to develop pricing recommendations aligned with policy, compliance, and market dynamics
- Experience supporting contract pricing, commercial agreements, or pricing governance processes
- Skills in interpreting pricing metrics, business performance data, and analytical outputs
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across pricing, contracts, sales, and marketing
- Ability to influence pricing decisions and support negotiation strategy through data-driven insights
- Experience managing large pricing projects or serving as a pricing subject matter expert
- Skills in coaching, training, or providing guidance to colleagues within pricing or contracts functions
- Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred

Pay
Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $110,400.00 - $165,600.00. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.

This position is primarily onsite, with a minimum of 4 days a week onsite required.
