About the role
Reimagine how advertisers connect with audiences during live moments. As Principal Product Manager - Technical for Live Events Optimizer, you'll define the vision and strategy for Amazon's purpose-built programmatic solution that transforms real-time advertising during sports, entertainment, and premium live content.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-year strategic vision and roadmap for Live Events Optimizer, balancing innovation, evolution, and resource allocation
- Own end-to-end product lifecycle—from advertiser user experience and reporting to pacing engines, forecasting models, and delivery architecture
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Applied Science, Sales, Supply, and Marketing to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions
- Engage strategic advertisers and agencies as a primary point of contact, resolving critical reliability issues during high-value live moments
- Build investment proposals and decision narratives to secure alignment from executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 6+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience owning data-centric products

Pay
Base salary range: $179,900.00 - $243,400.00 USD annually
