About the role

Reimagine how advertisers connect with audiences during live moments. As Principal Product Manager - Technical for Live Events Optimizer, you'll define the vision and strategy for Amazon's purpose-built programmatic solution that transforms real-time advertising during sports, entertainment, and premium live content. You'll own end-to-end product delivery—from user experience and reporting to pacing algorithms and delivery systems—while driving cross-functional collaboration to ensure advertisers capture peak engagement at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi-year strategic vision and roadmap for Live Events Optimizer, balancing innovation, evolution, and resource allocation
  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle—from advertiser user experience and reporting to pacing engines, forecasting models, and delivery architecture
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Applied Science, Sales, Supply, and Marketing to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions
  • Engage strategic advertisers and agencies as a primary point of contact, resolving critical reliability issues during high-value live moments
  • Build investment proposals and decision narratives to secure alignment from executive leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 6+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Experience owning data-centric products

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $179,900.00 - $243,400.00 USD annually.
