About the Role
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building a next-generation artifact management platform for internal libraries and build artifacts. This platform is a critical part of OCI’s build, deployment, and security patching workflows across internal service teams. As a Principal Software Developer, you will provide technical leadership in designing and building a scalable, highly available, and reliable artifact management system for OCI.
Responsibilities
- Architecture and Implementation: Design and implement highly scalable services capable of handling high request volume, large artifact datasets, and strict availability requirements.
- Large-Scale Migration: Develop and execute strategies for migrating petabytes of historical artifacts from legacy systems to the new platform while ensuring data consistency, integrity, and minimal customer impact.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate the artifact management platform with OCI’s CI/CD workflows and deployment systems across internal service teams.
- Technical Leadership: Lead design discussions, drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and provide high-quality code and design reviews.
- Operational Excellence: Define monitoring, alerting, rollout, disaster recovery, and reliability practices to ensure the platform can operate safely at OCI scale.
- Continuous Improvement: Track adoption, usage patterns, performance, and operational gaps, and drive improvements that increase scalability, reliability, and customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and building scalable distributed systems.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, or developer productivity platforms.
- Experience with large-scale data migration, data consistency, and production rollout strategies.
- Strong technical leadership skills, including architecture ownership, cross-team collaboration, and mentoring engineers.
Pay
Hiring range in USD from: $104,500 - $234,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
