Principal Platform Software Engineer
About the Role
At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), we are building the next generation of cloud services for autonomous and intelligent robotics. The OCI Robotics Cloud team is developing a secure, scalable, and cloud-native robotics platform that enables customers to seamlessly onboard, manage, monitor, and operate heterogeneous robot fleets across industries. Our platform provides cloud services for robot registration, identity management, mission orchestration, fleet management, telemetry, digital twins, software lifecycle management, and AI-powered robotic applications.
We are pioneering an AI-driven, spec-based robot onboarding platform that transforms robot integration from a manual engineering effort into an AI-assisted software engineering workflow. Using AI-generated service contracts, edge service specifications, SDKs, and implementation guidance, our platform enables robots from multiple vendors to be integrated rapidly through standardized interfaces and reusable adapters. Our vision is to make robot onboarding as simple as cloud onboarding—allowing customers and partners to bring new robots online quickly, consistently, and securely.
If you are excited about building distributed cloud services at the intersection of AI, cloud infrastructure, and robotics, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Team
Unlike traditional robotics teams that focus on individual robots or robot applications, OCI Robotics Cloud is building the cloud platform that powers heterogeneous robot fleets at enterprise scale. We believe robot integration should become an AI-assisted, spec-driven software engineering problem rather than a manual integration effort. Our mission is to enable customers to onboard robots from any vendor through standardized cloud services, common service contracts, and reusable edge adapters—bringing the cloud operating model to robotics.
