About the role

Arm’s Solutions Engineering team is seeking experienced PCIe and CXL experts to verify the functionality and performance of High Speed IOs at the Sub-system level. You will collaborate with Architects, RTL design, and verification engineers across the UK, US, Canada, and India to build next-generation SoCs. Arm is expanding its team to develop best-in-class silicon solutions using Arm’s IP alongside its partner ecosystem, targeting premium mobile, infrastructure, IoT, and automotive markets. This initiative leverages the latest nodes (e.g., 3nm) and new SoC 3D packaging to demonstrate industry-leading performance through architecting, designing, implementing, and fabricating powerful silicon test chips.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute functional verification strategies for PCIe/CXL integration at the sub-system level, including IO virtualization scenarios with Arm SMMU and interoperability verification with Arm and third-party IPs.
  • Review architecture and design specifications to craft comprehensive test plans.
  • Develop SystemVerilog/Verilog/UVM testbenches and tests, and debug failures.
  • Improve verification methodologies and collaborate with design teams on microarchitecture, system performance, and verification techniques.
  • Work with Project Management on planning, scheduling, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in verification of sophisticated PCIe or CXL subsystems or SoCs.
  • Solid understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
  • Experience in PCIe, CXL, and IDE feature verification, including performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of System Memory Management Unit (SMMU) and Generic Interrupt Controller (GIC) integration with PCIe.
  • Experience working with PCIe & CXL IPs and emulation-friendly transactors.
  • Proficiency in simulation and emulation platforms, as well as debugging tools.
  • Expertise in UVM-based verification and verification strategies (e.g., test plan creation, coverage, sign-off).
  • Knowledge of formal verification methodology.

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience with Arm-based designs or ARM System Architectures.
  • Clock domain crossing verification.
  • Power-aware verification.
  • Proficiency in Perl, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Innovation with AI tools like Codex.

Benefits

  • Culture-driven behaviors assessed during hiring: partner and customer focus, collaboration, creativity, innovation, team and personal development, impact, and delivering on promises.
  • Hybrid working model empowering teams to determine their own patterns based on work needs, with flexibility subject to local legal and regulatory considerations.
  • Accommodations for adjustments during the recruitment process (e.g., breaks between interviews, document accessibility, office accessibility).
