Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3) or Sr. Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 4) in Melbourne, FL. This role interfaces with program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis for program requirements.

The candidate will gain experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance measurement baseline concepts, applying them to multiple contracts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Responsibilities

  • Establish Work Breakdown Structures for budgeted cost of work scheduled.
  • Assess and maintain objective performance criteria.
  • Maintain and justify estimates to complete.
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements for variance analysis.
  • Develop and analyze budget baselines, funding analysis, and cost risk assessments.
  • Prepare government cost performance reports and performance measurement variance analyses.
  • Support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration.
  • Prepare budgets, ETC/EAC, and perform financial performance analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation and submittal of monthly CDRLs (e.g., IPMDAR).
  • Support variance analysis reports and program monthly rhythm processes.
  • Incorporate baseline changes into EVM systems using Deltek Cobra, SAP S4, and MS Excel/PowerPoint.

Requirements

This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment requiring a self-motivated employee who can operate independently with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Ability to use financial systems and understand EVMS principles.
  • Hands-on cost performance reporting and analysis skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing solutions of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Ability to analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques.
  • Work under general supervision while completing assignments per schedule.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to influence peers and internal customers.
  • Experience with business systems (e.g., SAP, Cobra).
  • Financial forecasting experience with EVMS and government cost reporting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret clearance and program access(es).

Qualifications

Level 3

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.

Level 4

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Pay

Primary Level (Level 3) Salary Range: $81,400.00 – $122,000.00

Secondary Level (Level 4) Salary Range: $101,400.00 – $152,200.00

Base salary offers consider experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives for eligible positions.
