Principal or Sr. Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst
About the role
At Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) we are seeking a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3) or Senior Principal Program Control Analyst (Level 4) to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This is an on-site, individual-contributor role that interfaces with program managers, functional management, and cost account managers to deliver financial and administrative support and analysis. The position requires hands-on Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and the ability to apply EVM principles across multiple contracts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures, performance measurement baselines, and objective performance criteria.
- Perform budget baseline and funding analyses, cost-risk assessments, and visibility reporting.
- Prepare government cost performance reports (e.g., IPMDAR) and variance analyses; develop and analyze Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC).
- Support internal and external reporting requirements, including monthly CDRL submittals and program “rhythm” processes.
- Integrate cost and schedule data, incorporate baseline changes into the EVM system, and utilize tools such as Deltek Cobra, SAP S/4, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Analyze variances and trends to develop new methods and process improvements; elevate potential issues to management for proper focus.
- Lead small teams and exert influence on peers and internal customers while representing the group on special projects.
Requirements
Level 3:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Business Management, Accounting, Financial Analysis, or a related field or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in the same disciplines.
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (or higher) with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years, or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Level 4:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Business Management, Accounting, Financial Analysis, or a related field or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in the same disciplines.
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (or higher) with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years, or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay
- Level 3: $81,400 – $122,000
- Level 4: $101,400 – $152,200
Base salary is determined by position scope, responsibilities, and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
