Principal NPI Operations Program Manager - Supply Chain Operations
About the role
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager to lead end‑to‑end New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management programs supporting OCI's rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure portfolio. Reporting to the Director or Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations, this individual contributor will own the operational execution of complex hardware programs from concept through production ramp, sustaining engineering, and end‑of‑life. The role coordinates globally distributed teams across Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Procurement, and Data Center Operations to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle execution.
Key Responsibilities
- New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Leadership: Own end‑to‑end operational execution for complex NPI programs, develop integrated program plans, identify technical risks, participate in roadmap and design reviews, ensure test infrastructure and tooling are ready, drive phase‑gate criteria, and serve as the primary operational point of contact.
- Program Execution & Change Management: Align Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Engineering; coordinate manufacturing readiness, material availability, schedules, budgets, and deployment planning; investigate technical issues and operational risks; communicate engineering changes and schedule adjustments; support internal governance compliance.
- Governance & Program Management: Develop detailed schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers; facilitate readiness reviews and phase‑gate meetings; track program health with metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting; ensure launch criteria and operational readiness are met.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage products beyond launch through sustaining engineering, lifecycle planning, and end‑of‑life activities; coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product revisions, supplier transitions, and manufacturing updates; lead stop‑ship actions, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions; qualify alternate sources and reduce supply risk.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Planning, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and Data Center Operations; influence decisions that improve manufacturability, scalability, quality, and deployment readiness; provide program leadership across globally distributed organizations.
- Executive Communication: Develop concise executive‑level status reports highlighting program health, milestones, risks, and mitigation plans; present recommendations and trade‑offs to senior leadership; simplify complex technical issues into actionable business updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve NPI execution, governance, and lifecycle processes; develop standardized tools, templates, dashboards, and best practices; leverage AI and automation to streamline workflows; lead technical root‑cause analysis and post‑launch reviews.
