Advanced Cores Group

ADI’s Advanced Cores Group (ACG) is a world leader in developing high-speed data converters and related technology. ACG has an excellent track record of producing breakthrough, innovative technologies including RF DACs and ADCs, and SerDes PHYs, in cutting-edge FinFET process technologies for integration into highly sophisticated system-on-chip (SoC) products. The converter cores have won industry and academic recognition in publications and at conferences. Our technologies are integrated into products in a variety of end applications, including Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, Communications, and Instrumentation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading circuit development efforts
  • Evaluating and selecting circuit architectures
  • Designing challenging transistor-level circuits
  • Preparing effective design documents and conducting engaging design reviews
  • Guiding layout, evaluation, and test engineering teams
  • Mentoring other design engineers

Qualifications

  • M.S. or beyond in Electrical Engineering
  • 14+ years’ experience in CMOS design
  • Experience in high-speed data converter design, with architectures such as pipeline ADC, SAR ADC, or current-steering DAC
  • Understanding of a wide range of circuits such as wide bandwidth amplifiers and comparators, switched capacitor circuits, precision voltage and current references, LDOs
  • Experience in Cadence schematic capture and SPICE simulation tools
  • Signal processing knowledge is a strong plus, particularly as it relates to calibration algorithms
  • Experience with MATLAB, for example used as a behavioral modeling tool
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in a large team

Pay and Schedule

  • Expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $157,080 to $227,460.
  • The expected wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.

Schedule

Hybrid work model, home and in-office opportunities vary depending on job function and group.
