About the role
This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Relocation assistance is not available.
Responsibilities
- Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- Incorporates inspection and test requirements into the production plans.
- Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, investigates and initiates corrective actions for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding Design For Manufacturing (DFM) concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- For Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of related experience
- For Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance
- Experienced in creating, supporting & sustaining the use of Manufacturing Engineering System (MES) work instructions
- Proficient in DFM
- Experience with manufacturing processes, procedures work cell layout, production build sequence, tooling design, troubleshooting/corrective action, and quality assurance
- Experience adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
- Familiarity working with CAD, NX, Costpoint and Teamcenter
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- Familiarity with Northrop Grumman processes

Benefits
- Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
- Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

Pay
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
Schedule
Working a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)
