Principal Maintenance Technicial - Electrical
About the role
Partner with the best As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing manufacturing and production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You will support production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Performing maintenance repairs on plant equipment and machinery within the scope of expertise.
- Interpreting and executing maintenance work orders while adhering to established safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Conducting preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Monitoring, operating, and adjusting production and process equipment to support manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems associated with production equipment.
- Operating and adjusting equipment controls to ensure compliance with performance requirements and product quality standards.
- Monitoring manufacturing processes and testing finished products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
- Supporting quality assurance activities in accordance with manufacturing standards, engineering specifications, and ISO requirements.
- Aiding with the transportation, loading, unloading, installation, and removal of machinery and equipment as required.
- Maintaining maintenance records, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
- Participating in competency management programs and providing coaching and technical guidance to other technicians in areas of demonstrated expertise.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, Technical Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (required).
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, production, processing, or a related technical environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, motors, controls, instrumentation, and production equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to document maintenance activities and support operational improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include experience working in a manufacturing, energy, industrial, or process plant environment.
- Experience with PLCs, electrical controls, automation systems, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards and quality assurance processes.
- Previous experience mentoring, training, or coaching technicians.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
