About the role

Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center seeks a Principal System Integration & Test Engineer to support radar capability development.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a laboratory environment.
  • Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software, focusing on systems running Linux-based operating environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware, and operating systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with program requirements.
  • Support system-level test readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and program-specific processes.
  • Be willing to support 5% domestic travel.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Shell scripting, Linux, and/or Unix.
  • Experience with hardware and/or software testing in an engineering lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with test equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience working with X-Band radar systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations on hardware devices, network configurations, operations of software in String/HWIL facility, Knowledge of RF systems, radar signal processing, and real-time systems.
  • Practical knowledge of system security concepts and tools in Linux environments.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
