What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with K-8 students covering topics such as public speaking and concentration, utilizing Alpha's established playbook.
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to ensure 100% of students achieve their weekly application-based goals through age-appropriate methods including school currency systems and leaderboards.
  • Developing Guides via direct observation, focused feedback, and practical coaching to ensure they execute workshops with equivalent energy and accuracy.
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint students requiring intervention, then providing that intervention directly.
  • Mentoring your designated student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your role is elevating the people who support them.
  • Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You're 80% performer, 20% content expert; if your preference is working at a whiteboard, this role isn't the right fit.
  • Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administrators. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll have full organizational support to maintain that standard.
  • Spending your day in an office managing paperwork. The majority of your time involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
  • Waiting extended periods for performance feedback. Results appear in real-time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.

Basic Requirements

  • Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available).
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's preferred; traditional teaching certifications are not required).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives.
  • Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including recruitment and performance-based termination decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability coaching, mentoring, or delivering constructive feedback to enhance engagement and performance.
  • Strong capability using data and metrics to inform decisions and foster continuous improvement.
  • Background working with young people ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts.
  • Strong capability performing before large groups of children. The type of presence that commands attention in a room full of 8-year-olds.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business.
  • Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program leader where you directly inspired young people to achieve measurable objectives.
  • Background coaching adults in positions where their performance was measured and evaluated.
