About the role

FactSet creates flexible, open data and software solutions for over 200,000 investment professionals worldwide, providing instant access to financial data and analytics that investors use to make crucial decisions. The Principal Implementation Specialist will help lead implementation efforts for a business line or product, partnering with the regional Implementation manager to derive and execute on best practices for engagements. This role ensures that internal product development strategies are effective in the market and that products become easier to deploy over time.

Clients rely on the Implementations team to develop and implement solutions for their most complex problems, including large-scale deployments of FactSet software, organizational changes, and enhancing custom processes. As FactSet expands its product mix, the strength and agility of the Implementations team will be instrumental to business success. This role primarily works with tools in our performance suite of products, core analytics, and risk tools.

Principal Implementation Specialists are subject matter experts who combine product and industry knowledge to ensure customer success during implementations. They are expected to be experts in the core Portfolio Analytics suite, Performance solutions, and Risk offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Produce client-facing communication in coordination with the implementation project manager.
  • Build and manage implementation scope and effort estimates; collaborate on project plans.
  • Provide product (functional and technical) guidance on solutioning processes based on customer needs.
  • Create user workflow specifications and establish priority and direction for technical integration staff on client requirements.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of the Analytics suite.
  • Implement new and enhance existing deployments to improve user experience and enable sales opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate with sophisticated users via a strong understanding of investment principles and their application in the industry.
  • Identify growth strategies by outlining client organizational structures and uncovering additional opportunities during implementation.
  • Share emerging trends, what is working well, and areas for improvement with internal teams.
  • Study client workflows and partner with Product Development and Engineering to enhance FactSet’s products.
  • Provide user training and support the development of training programs.
  • Facilitate transition from implementation phase to support.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience working with FactSet’s Analytics tools.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Understanding of how clients use FactSet Analytics and Performance Solutions products, including PA (Portfolio Analysis), SPAR (returns-based Style, Performance, and Risk tool), Portfolio Vault & Insight, and Analytics APIs.
  • Excellent technical background with proven proficiency in writing complex screening codes.
  • CFA, CIPM, CAPM, FRM, MBA, or other industry certifications preferred.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Enthusiastic with a keen sense of initiative and a desire to take ownership.
  • Willingness to travel.

Job location: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Norwalk, San Francisco, Toronto, CAD. Working Environment: Hybrid. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Pay

The budgeted range for this position in New York City, Connecticut, and California is $140,000 - $175,000. The budgeted range for this position in Toronto is $150,000 - $195,000 CAD. Salary is based on factors including education, work experience, and certifications.
