Principal IA Engineer/Sr. Principal IA Engineer (AHT)

About the role

Northrop Grumman is seeking Information Assurance (IA) Engineers to maintain and enhance capabilities in support of DAF CLOUDworks at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Rome, NY. DAF CLOUDworks is a rapidly growing secure cloud program that encompasses 10+ teams supporting information security, infrastructure development, and cloud migration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance capabilities in support of DAF CLOUDworks
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage packages in Xacta / EMass (RMF cycle management software)
• Apply DISA STIGs (system hardening guidelines)
• Write and maintain IA documentation and policies
• Manage POA&Ms / Vulnerability management and remediation
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance reviews

Requirements

• A Top-Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• IAT Level II certification per DoD 8570.01 such as CompTIA Security+
• Familiarity with Cloud-based technologies (AWS Platform, Azure Platform, Google Cloud)
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53 and / or ISO 27001/27002 (FISMA implementation guidance)
• Experience managing POA&Ms / Vulnerability management and remediation
• Expertise advising development teams on good practice for IA compliance
• Experience managing and implementing security controls

Qualifications

• Level 3 (Principal IA Engineer): A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 1 year of relevant experience
• Level 4 (Sr. Principal IA Engineer): A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience OR a master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience

Skills

• Active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
• Fundamental cloud certifications such as: AWS Platform (>= Cloud Practitioner), Azure Platform (>= Azure Fundamentals)
• ISC2 CCSP, ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM, ISACA CISA

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $155,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $193,900.00
