About the role

This individual is responsible for project team leadership for the pursuit and delivery of Health projects with a primary focus on facility and departmental planning of health and research facilities, as well as the aesthetic solution and overall design for projects that are large and/or complex in nature.

Responsibilities

  • Project team leadership for Health projects
  • Facility and departmental planning of health and research facilities
  • Aesthetic solution and overall design for large and/or complex projects
  • Analyze client's needs and conceive/develop architectural solutions
  • Initiate schematic designs/plans and prepare presentation drawings, models and narratives
  • Coordinate with all disciplines related to building design and healthcare planning
  • Represent the firm in business development presentations
  • Provide guidance to other designers and coordinate with engineering disciplines

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Architecture
  • 20+ years' experience in health architecture and planning
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of health architecture planning and design
  • Deep understanding of health facility operations, life safety codes, MEP & structural implications/requirements, and health standards (FGI, JACHO, etc.)
  • Advanced credentials such as ACHA, EDAC, LEED, Lean Six Sigma
  • Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Blue Beam)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Experience on large-scale projects
  • Minimum 7 years project management experience
  • Registered Architect
  • Experience leading teams and making client presentations
  • Knowledge of local and regional markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
